romiyon ke naam chitthi 4:1-25
4 jab aisa hai to hum kya kahein, hamare purkhe abraham ne kya paaya tha?
2 agar abraham ko uske kaamon ki bina par nek thehraya jaata, to uske paas shekhi maarne ki vajah hoti, magar parmeshvar ke saamne nahin.
3 shastra kya kehta hai? “abraham ne yahova* par vishvas kiya aur is vajah se use nek samjha gaya.”+
4 jo aadmi kaam karta hai use mazdoori dena us par maha-kripa karna nahin samjha jaata, balki uska hak* maana jaata hai.
5 doosri taraf, jo insan apne kaamon par bharosa karne ke bajay us parmeshvar par vishvas karta hai jo paapi ko nek thehrata hai, us insan ko uske vishvas ki vajah se nek samjha jaata hai.+
6 daavid ne bhi aise insan ko sukhi kaha jisne kaanoon ko poori tarah nahin maana, fir bhi parmeshvar ne use nek samjha. usne kaha,
7 “sukhi hain woh jinke bure kaam maaf kiye gaye hain aur jinke paap dhaanp diye* gaye hain.
8 sukhi hai woh insan jiske paap ka yahova* hargiz lekha nahin lega.”+
9 to kya yah sukh sirf un logon ko milta hai jinka khatna hua hai? kya yah unhein bhi nahin milta jo khatnarahit hain?+ kyonki hum kehte hain, “abraham ke vishvas ki vajah se use nek samjha gaya.”+
10 use kab nek samjha gaya tha? khatna hone ke baad ya khatna hone se pehale? jab uska khatna hua bhi nahin tha, tab use nek samjha gaya tha.
11 bina khatne ki dasha mein usne jo vishvas kiya, usi ki vajah se parmeshvar ne use nek samjha. aur uske nek hone ki nishani* ke taur par use khatna karvane ke liye kaha+ taaki woh un sabka pita bane jo khatnarahit hote huye bhi vishvas karte hain+ ki woh nek samjhe jaayen.
12 saath hi, woh unka bhi pita bane jinka khatna hua hai yaani unka jinhonne na sirf khatna karvaya hai balki jo hamare pita abraham ke nakshe-kadam par seedhi chaal chalte hain+ aur vaisa hi vishvas karte hain jaisa usne bina khatne ki dasha mein kiya tha.
13 abraham aur uske vansh* se vaada kiya gaya tha ki woh duniya ke vaaris honge. unse yah vaada kaanoon maanne ki vajah se nahin+ balki vishvas karke nek thaharne ki vajah se kiya gaya tha.+
14 isliye ki agar sirf kaanoon par chalnevale vaaris hote, to vishvas karna bemane ho jaata aur vaada bekar jaata.
15 sach to yah hai ki kaanoon krodh paida karta hai,+ magar jahaan kaanoon nahin hai vahaan use toda bhi nahin jaata.+
16 isliye abraham se vaaris hone ka yah vaada uske vishvas ki vajah se kiya gaya tha+ aur is vaade se parmeshvar ki maha-kripa+ zahir hui. aur yah pakka hua ki yah vaada uske sabhi vanshajon* ke liye hai, yaani na sirf unke liye jo kaanoon par chalte hain balki unke liye bhi hai jinmein abraham jaisa vishvas hai jo hum sabka pita hai.+
17 (yah theek vaisa hi hua jaisa likha hai, “mainne tujhe bahot-si jaatiyon ka pita thehraya hai.”)+ yah parmeshvar ke saamne hua jis par use vishvas tha aur jo mare huon ko zinda karta hai aur jo baatein ab tak poori nahin hui hain unke baare mein aise baat karta hai maano woh poori ho chuki hon.*
18 haalanki abraham ke liye saari aashayen khatm ho chuki thi, fir bhi usne aasha rakhte huye vishvas kiya ki woh bahot-si jaatiyon ka pita banega, theek jaise usse vaada kiya gaya tha: “tere vansh* ki ginti bhi isi tarah beshumar hogi.”+
19 haalanki abraham ne apne shareer ki bejan haalaat par gaur kiya (kyonki woh kareeb 100 saal ka ho chuka tha)+ aur woh apni patni saara ke garbh ki bejan haalaat* bhi jaanta tha, fir bhi uska vishvas kamzor nahin hua.+
20 parmeshvar ke vaade ki vajah se woh vishvas ki kami se nahin dagmagaya, balki apne vishvas ki vajah se shaktishali saabit hua aur usne parmeshvar ki mahima ki.
21 use poora yakeen tha ki jis parmeshvar ne vaada kiya hai woh use poora karne ke kaabil bhi hai.+
22 tabhi, “is vajah se use nek samjha gaya.”+
23 magar shastra mein likhi yah baat ki ‘use samjha gaya,’ na sirf uske baare mein hai+
24 balki hamare baare mein bhi hai. hamein bhi nek samjha jaayega kyonki hum us parmeshvar par vishvas karte hain jisne hamare prabhu yeeshu ko mare huon mein se zinda kiya.+
25 yeeshu ko hamare gunahon ki khaatir maut ke havale kiya gaya+ aur hamein nek thehrane ke liye zinda kiya gaya.+
