  • ukuBhula; Isibuya.

    Ukubhula ukukhipha okusanhlamvu ezinhlangeni nasemakhobeni; isibuya yindawo okwakwenzelwa kuyo lo msebenzi. Kwakubhulwa ngesandla kusetshenziswa induku, noma uma kubhulwa into eningi, kusetshenziswe ithuluzi elikhethekile, njengesihlibhi sokubhula noma ithuluzi elinamasondo elidonswa yizilwane. Leli thuluzi lalihamba phezu kokusanhlamvu okwendlalwe esibuyeni, okwakuyindawo eqondile eyindilinga ngokuvamile eyayisendaweni ephakeme echayeke emoyeni.—Lev 26:5; Isay 41:15; Mat 3:12.

  • umBoni.

    Umuntu onikwe nguNkulunkulu amandla okuqonda intando yaKhe, umuntu owayevulwe amehlo ukuze abone noma aqonde izinto ezazingekho obala kwabanye abantu. Leli gama lesiHebheru lithathwe esiqwini segama elisho “ukubona,” kungaba ngokoqobo noma ngokomfanekiso. Umboni umuntu abanye ababeya kuye ukuze bathole iseluleko esihlakaniphile lapho bebhekana nezinkinga.—1Sa 9:9.

  • umBonisi.

    Indoda ngokuyinhloko enomthwalo wokuqapha nokwalusa ibandla. Umqondo oyisisekelo wegama lesiGreki elithi e·piʹsko·pos, ukuqapha ngenjongo yokuvikela. Amagama athi “umbonisi” nelithi “umdala” (pre·sbyʹte·ros) abhekisela emsebenzini ofanayo ebandleni lobuKristu. Elithi “umdala” libonisa ukuvuthwa kwalowo omisiwe, kanti elithi “umbonisi” liqokomisa imisebenzi ehambisana nalokho kumiswa.—IzE 20:28; 1Ti 3:2-7; 1Pe 5:2.

  • Buli.

    Umuntu owenza izimbiza, izindishi nezinye izitsha zobumba. Igama lesiHebheru elithi umbumbi ngokwezwi nezwi lisho “umenzi.” Igunya umbumbi analo obumbeni livame ukusetshenziselwa ukufanekisela ubukhosi bukaJehova phezu kwabantu ngabanye nezizwe.—Isay 64:8; Rom 9:21.

  • umBusi wesifundazwe.

    Undunankulu embusweni waseBhabhiloni nowasePheresiya. Umbusi wesifundazwe wayemiswa yinkosi ukuba abe umbusi oyinhloko.—Ezr 8:36; Dan 6:1.

  • imiCengezi yomlilo.

    Izinto ezazenziwe ngegolide, ngesiliva, noma ngethusi, zazisetshenziswa etabernakele nasethempelini ukuze kushiswe impepho futhi kukhishwe amalahle e-altare lomhlatshelo nezintambo zezibani ezishile ezintini zezibani zegolide. Yayibizwa nangokuthi izitsha zokushisa impepho.—Eks 37:23; 2Kr 26:19; Heb 9:4.

  • iChibi lomlilo.

    Yindawo engokomfanekiso ‘evutha umlilo nesibabule,’ ibuye ichazwe ngokuthi “ukufa kwesibili.” Izoni ezingaphenduki, uDeveli, ngisho nokufa neThuna (noma, iHayidesi) kuphonswa kuyo. Ukuhlanganiswa kwesidalwa somoya kanye nokufa neHayidesi, konke okuyizinto ezingenakushiswa umlilo, kubonisa ukuthi leli chibi lingokomfanekiso, akulona elokuhlushwa phakade, kodwa ngelokubhujiswa phakade.—IsA 19:20; 20:14, 15; 21:8.

  • uChoko; umuntu onochoko.

    Yisifo sesikhumba esibi kakhulu. EmiBhalweni, uchoko luhilela okungaphezu kwesifo esaziwa ngokuthi uchoko namuhla, ngoba asigcini ngokuhlasela abantu nje kuphela, kodwa nezingubo zokugqoka kanye nezindlu. Umuntu ophethwe isifo sochoko kuthiwa unochoko.—Lev 14:54, 55; Luk 5:12.

  • iCilongo.

    Ithuluzi lensimbi elifuthwayo, elisetshenziselwa umculo noma ukunikeza abantu uphawu. NgokukaNumeri 10:2, uJehova wanikeza iziyalezo zokuba kwenziwe amacilongo amabili esiliva ayezosetshenziselwa ukunikeza uphawu lokubizela abantu ndawonye, lokuba kudilizwe amatende noma lokuba kumenyezelwe impi. Cishe lawa kwakungamacilongo aqondile, ngokungafani “nezimpondo” ezigwegwile ezazenziwe ngezimpondo zezilwane. Amacilongo ayenziwe ngendlela engachaziwe nawo ayephakathi kwezinsimbi zomculo ezazisethempelini.     Amadolobha amaLevi lapho umbulali obulale engahlosile ayengaphephela khona ebalekela umuntu ophindiselela umufi. Amadolobha anjalo ayeyisithupha, esakazeke kulo lonke iZwe Lesithembiso, amiswa uMose, kamuva amiswa uJoshuwa beqondiswa uJehova. Lapho umbaleki efika edolobheni lesiphephelo, wayebeka udaba lwakhe emadodeni amadala esangweni ledolobha futhi wayemukelwa kahle. Ukuze kugwenywe ukuba ababulala ngenhloso badlale ngaleli lungiselelo, umbaleki kwakudingeka ayoquliswa icala edolobheni ayebulale kulo ukuze kutholakale ukuthi umsulwa yini. Itshe legumbi eliyinhloko yilo elaliyisisekelo; ngokuvamile kwakukhethwa eliqine kakhulu lapho kwakhiwa izakhiwo zomphakathi nezindonga zedolobha. Ngaphandle kwezivumelwano ezazenziwa uNkulunkulu nabantu, iBhayibheli likhuluma ngezivumelwano eziphakathi kwabantu, izinhlanga, izizwe noma amaqembu abantu.   • iZazi zefilosofi ezingamaStoyiku.

AmaJuda asungula ukuba kuzilwe ukudla izikhathi ezine minyaka yonke ukuze kukhunjulwe izinhlekelele ezenzeka emlandweni wawo.
